Oceanic Yoga International - Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training in Goa 270 Google reviewsPosted on stevie jadeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was originally going to do a course in Rishikesh but changed my mind as the course (100hr Yoga Nidra and Meditation)at Oceanic was more suited to my needs and Goa was warmer(jan). I’m so glad I did. I did spent two weeks in Rishikesh and although I didn’t attend a course so I can’t compare, I did however attend several drop in sessions and spoke to several people who said it was a bit of a minefield choosing. I absolutely made the right decision with Oceanic. The course met my expectations and more. I went in with a lack of confidence and imposter syndrome and came out feeling like I can actually teach. The location was amazing and I loved morning meditation and yoga to the sounds of the jungle waking up. The little cottage’s had their own balcony with amazing views over the jungle and sea. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The food was amazing and the dip in the pool at sunset was a bonus. Karlu, George and see all the staff and teachers were so friendly and attentive. I hurt my back just before the course and they went out of their way to make everything as comfortable as they could for me. The whole place was very clean and well maintained with any issues sorted instantly. I would definitely go back here to do another course and the area is really nice with a huge clean beach with lovely restaurants. I wish I could have stayed longer. I found parts of myself I never knew existed and honestly felt really emotional leaving. The group were lovely and gelled really well and fun to be with. Karlu, George and the rest of the team, a massive thank you 🙏I hope to come back.Posted on P. E.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I did a 1-week yoga-ayurvedic retreat with Oceanic Yoga. I can highly reccommend it to anyone who is serious about diving into Yoga and the ayurvedic philosophies and who wants to get know themselves better. The teachers are very knowledgeable and professional and you can tell that the owners pour their hearts into this Ashram. The rooms and infrastructure are not fancy but clean and functional and it has everything one would need for a journey inward. Thank you for letting me stay!Posted on Priya PallanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I honestly don’t even know where to begin. Oceanic Yoga touched my heart in ways I never expected. I couldn’t recommend Oceanic enough to anyone looking for yoga teacher training or a retreat. I completed my 200-hour training in Rishikesh, but the 300-hour programme here completely blew me away. Oceanic isn’t just a yoga school — it’s an ashram built with genuine love, intention, and care. George and Kalu are truly special souls who have devoted their lives to creating a safe, healing space for people from all over the world. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the energy of the place and feel so cared for, seen and looked after. Nestled in lush green hills just a short distance from the beach and town, you’re surrounded by nature and serenity. It becomes easy to detach from the chaos of everyday life and fully surrender to your learning and healing journey. The training itself is beautifully designed and really pushes you to understand not just the physical practice, but the lifestyle and science yoga offers the world. It’s not easy and it shouldn’t - you’ll learn so much about yourself and the importance of discipline. We had many practical teaching sessions to help us refine our teaching techniques - something many yoga schools don’t offer. We left feeling confident in our ability to teach and thoughtfully sequence a class. The ashram is spotless and safe with breathtaking views and peaceful spaces to practice, reflect, and simply be. The teachers (especially Jason and Prasad) are incredibly knowledgeable, generous with their wisdom, and deeply caring. They meet you exactly where you are and tailor each practice with so much thought and compassion. They also bring a lot of joy and laughter which kept all our energy up through the programme! The food deserves its own paragraph. Sattvic meals are freshly cooked three times a day by a team who genuinely prepare everything with love. The menu is designed around healing and recovery, and the herbal tea… made daily from plants grown right on the ashram… was such a beautiful touch. Words honestly can’t express how special this experience was. It felt like I found a family and a home on the other side of the world. I left with a full heart, lifelong friendships, and a deeper connection to myself than I ever imagined. I’m already planning my next trip back this year and can’t wait to see Kalu and George again. If you’re even considering Oceanic, my advice is don’t hesitate. If you’re serious about yoga, this place has the power to change your life.Posted on Kshitij GheewalaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very warm host...supportive and mediation environment...nourishing and healing energy...felt cared for and enjoyed the experience of 21 day pancha karma....it was well worth the investingPosted on C -PTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What an amazing experience. I completed my 200 YTTC and it was more then I imagined. The rooms are comfortable, food was simple, fresh and delicious and the environment was exactly what was needed on a hilltop surrounded by nature, monkeys, array of birds, cats and with daily views of sunrise, sunsets and the sea in the distance. All the teachers were amazing, of course learning asanas, but what I didn’t expect was to really enjoy philosophy and anatomy and pranayama. I have ordered a lot of books to keep the learning going and I have so far been continuing to do daily pranayama and surya namaskar. I had an awesome group along the way who really helped keep the energy flowing, with all the laughs. Super thankful to have completed my training with them, started as strangers and left as so much more. Thank you so much to the owners George and Callu for creating such an authentic beautiful space. So grateful, my heart is full, thank you🙏🏽💜😊Posted on Diana KlarováTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I did extensive research on yoga schools for my 200-hour YTT before choosing Oceanic Yoga, and I can honestly say that my gut feeling about this place exceeded all expectations. The setting in the jungle is absolutely breathtaking and incredibly peaceful. It allows you to fully immerse yourself in the experience, while the beach and shops are still only a 10–15 minute walk away. The teachers were truly outstanding, placing strong emphasis on teaching skills and deep understanding. This school genuinely cares that you learn traditional yoga and grasp the philosophy behind the practice. The owners, Kalu and George, are pure love! They made me feel at home from the very beginning and showed sincere care for every student. The food was delicious every single day. Before coming, I worried that I might lack meat or protein, but that wasn’t the case at all. It’s simply a place you want to return to. Thank you, Kalu and George, your work is truly needed and deeply appreciated ❤️Posted on Mariesa DohertyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I completed my 200-hour TTC with Oceanic Yoga in India via their hybrid course (half online, 10 days in person, and the rest completed at home). The hybrid format really suited me and helped the content land more deeply. There were 7 people in the group, and I loved learning alongside them — such a special experience & I hope our friendships continue. The course had a great balance of theory and practice: I especially enjoyed anatomy and philosophy. The practical side was challenging in the best way, with 4 hours of yoga daily, and really sets you up for success. The teachers were consistently kind, patient, and very knowledgeable Accommodation was basic, food was vegetarian, tasty, and not too spicy, with amazing teas. Overall, the course was more than just yoga — it was truly transforming. Highly recommend.Posted on Bertille PaillardTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Oceanic Yoga is a wonderful place to reconnect with yourself and experience yoga in an authentic way. Such wonderful people, a magnificent location and a unique energy... I highly recommend it ! Thank you.Posted on Lydia KempTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The BEST teachers and environment for training on my yoga teacher training journey. You are surrounded by incredible nature, the food is delicious. The courses are challenging and authentic. The teachers are highly skilled, educated and from yogic families. They are passionate and have integrity. They care about their students and guide you safely in your studies. The owners are often on site and also care deeply that you are progressing well and have everything that you need. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and you are within walking distance to the beach. I just completed a Sound Healing with Astanga Yoga course and will be returning to complete an Ayurvedic massage course. Having already completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training program elsewhere, having seen the calibre of the course here, I wish I had completed that training here as well. I cannot praise Oceanic Yoga International enough. For true yoga training that will actually give you the skills you need to become a teacher, go and train with them. 🙏🏻🪷🧘🏻♀️Posted on Emma LewinsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I completed the hybrid 200hr yoga teacher training course, and I really enjoyed it! The hybrid aspect made it much more accessible. I completed the online parts before attending in person, but others did it the other way around - either way works. The teachers were all excellent!! There were 7 of us completing the course, which felt like a good number and meant we each received attention and could ask questions freely. I got a lot out of the in person lessons, and appreciated the opportunities to teach the other students. The rooms are basic but comfortable, and the location is great - I liked being up and away from crowds, but on our day off we could easily get to the beach. A highlight was when we were in our ashtanga class and a family of monkeys were chasing each other across the roof of the yoga shala! I also loved the friendly cats 😊 I would recommend this programme and oceanic yoga to others, and I am already missing my fellow students ❤️
